My site evaluator was PA Gary Maida, a pediatric Physician Assistant and professor at York College PA program. During both of my site evaluations, I presented all the history and physicals that I written from my time at the Dr. Arana’s medical office. Professor Maida offered constructive comments on presenting patients and helped me improve the writing of my H&Ps. During my second evaluation he recommended additional physical examination components that would have helped me be more through as I as examining an adolescent with neck pain. When I presented my first two cases professor Maida made very appropriate comments. In the end he said I had broad and appropriate differentials with a good assessment and plan. Although my case presentations were not too out of the box, professor Maida was very pleased with my development as a PA student since I first started. He thoroughly assessed my proposed plan for the patient. Feedback regarding this area was especially beneficial because it helped me learn how to manage cases and grow as a future medical provider. I appreciated professor Maida for the time he took to meet with us and comments that he made to help us grow.
